British fashion designer, Alexander McQueen, was reported dead this morning. He committed suicide. He was 40.

According to Women Wear Daily, his mother died recently, but no one is sure if her death was the cause of his suicide.

Known for his extravagant designs and outrageous show, McQueen brought a sense of fantasy and illusion all of his creations.

According to Huffington Post, his new more affordable line, McQ, was supposed to be presented today, yes, today, at New York Fashion Week. Of course, the presentation has been canceled.

The great talent will be missed.
