Kanye’s Clothing Line Folds

Poor Kanye. First, his concert tour with Lady Gaga gets canceled, and now his clothing line, Pastelle, closes just after two days of revealing it online.
The fashion icon had been wearing pieces from his line at different award shows (above, at the American Music Awards last year). He also had a sneaker line with clothing giant Louis Vuitton.
From what I’ve seen Pastelle wasn’t anything but a bunch of hoodies and jackets anyway. It’s 2009, Kanye. We off that.

Poor, poor Kanye. He’s had more misses than hits lately. I think part of the problem is that he is too damn into himself. Just because he is talented on the music end and has a unique style does not mean that he can do a successful clothing line. Be realistic and do your research. Know your market and trends. Kanye gets an “F” for this venture, better luck on the next one.
I completely agree with you. I admire his hustle when he first started out as a producer, but there isn’t a need to put your name on everything if it doesn’t need to be there. He definitely should have done his research before he launched or waited a bit longer before the launch, since clearly it wasn’t ready (for whatever reason).
