Karl Lagerfeld, the man behind the Chanel brand, photographed supermodel Claudia Schiffer for the German magazine Stern Fotografie for their 60th issue, according to Sassy Bella.

The pictures from the issue are  fab. Karl Lagerfeld is a great photographer. He dresses her as a secretary, a biker chick, and a black woman???

The fashion world has been obsessed with black face lately. We saw it on America’s Next Top Model, Vogue Paris, Tangent Mag, and the list goes on.

I’m don’t believe it’s a necessary trend (why not hire black models?), but I also don’t think that Claudia Schiffer in an afro was off the wall either. Honestly, I think it would have been okay to leave her in an Afro without the blackface. We’ve seen plenty of white people sans black makeup rock the afro.
