Zoe Saldana Becomes the New Face (and Booty) of Calvin Klein

Posted by Ariel Cherie

Actress Zoe Saldana was chosen as the new face of Calvin Klein Underwear and their new product, Calvin Klein Envy, which is coming out in the fall, according to PEOPLE Style Watch.

“Calvin Klein has always put forth such beautifully executed campaigns,” Saldana said in a statement. “It’s very exciting for me to be associated with such an iconic, globally recognized brand like Calvin Klein Underwear.”

Her ads will appear in magazines and online starting in October. She will be replacing the current spokesmodel, actress Eva Mendes who has been repping Calvin Klein since 2008. While their bodies are vastly different (Eva is curvy; Zoe is thin), they are taking it back to the waif look like they did with Kate Moss in the 90′s (see below).

5 must haves for every woman’s closet

Posted by Ebony Minott

Have you ever had somewhere to go but nothing to where? Well here are the top five items every woman should have in their closets. These pieces can help make the perfect outfit.

A pencil shirt can flatter any figure. You can look good while at work or a night out with the girls.

A cardigan can make an outfit whether you’re going for the casual look or dressed up. If you feel like you’re missing a piece, this could be it. Cardigan also look great in bright colors. (Forever 21, $22.80)

Dark wash jeans are probably in everyone’s closet. These jeans are classic and will never go out of style. They’re perfect for everyone.

A little black dress is a must have. You can make different looks simply by changing your accessories. This is an item that you will never get bored with.

Last but definitely not least, the high heel. It can complete everything else you have on and leave you feeling fabulous. You can strut down the street with the perfect pair. Just make sure they don’t have your feet screaming. (Zappos, $89.95)

Now go to your closet and make sure these items are in there.  There’s no way you can go wrong.

Why your swimsuit costs 20 times what it is worth

Posted by Ariel Cherie

‘Tis the season fior getting into swimsuit ready shape, but are clothing brands wronfully working out ur wallets when we buy bathing suits?

Simply put, yes. Most swimsuits only cost $5 to make can be sold for $100, according to the New York Times. There have been “advances in swimsuit technology” that result in the $95 markup.

What kind of swimsuit technological advances (it sounds just as silly as it looks)? Good question. No there’s no underwater GPS or anything of the like, but there’s new sciences, if you will, that suck in your tummy and make your suits weatherproof.

Whatever.

What really gets people is the fact thast most women’s sizes don’t match from top to bottom. Meaning, chances of a woman being a size medium on top and a small for the bottom, are pretty much slim. When you mix-and-match, you’re not paying the same price for both pieces. A small is going to be less expensive than a large, so they hit you with the ultimate swindle.

I’m not saying that I never fell for the bathing suit swindle, I have a $98 cutout swimsuit in my closet that I only wore once. Back in ’08. A lot of people will try and justify their purchases. “Well, if I wear it X amount of times, then everytime I wear it, it’s like I only spend $3.50 a wear!” Stop playing yourself. Chances are you’re going to wear it three times max this summer, stuff it in the drawer by Labor Day, and buy more the next year.

I would recommend to purchase bathing suits at H&M, Forever 21  (above pic, $10.80) or Target. They have really cute suits that are for everyone, and for that amount that you might spend on one swimsuit, you can buy 2 or 3 for the same price.

I’ve never been a fan of wedges, but I really love these from Nine West. The intricate detail and cutouts make this shoe special. They would look hot with skinny jeans or even a fun, flouncy skirt. (Ninewest.com, $89.)
