America’s Next Top Model gets rid of Seventeen for Italian Vogue

Posted by Ariel Cherie

First there was Elle, then came Seventeen, and now on America’s Next Top Model the winner will be featured in Italian Vogue, according to Women Wear Daily.

For the past four years, ANTM has teamed up with the past editors-in-chief to create a double cover for the magazine which featured the winner of past seasons. “ANTM has been a fantastic friend — with benefits! — but we both thought it was time we started seeing other people,” said Ann Shoket, Seventeen‘s editor-in-chief.

Since Vogue‘s contributing writer Andre Leon Talley has signed on to ANTM for the next three years, maybe he could have put in a good word for the show to partner up with the prestigious mag, but who knows?

I think it’s a great look for the show. I don’t really believe that for a show that pushes contestants toward being high fashion, that Seventeen was the best way to go. Teen Vogue would have a been a great choice because it appeals to teens (obviously), but it still has that high fashion element to it.

We’ll see if the winners get a decent spread in the mag. I can’t wait to see it.
